aunt前面加an。在元音字母的前面要用an，其余的前面要用a。元音字母是：a、e、i、o、u。冠词a和an一般用在可数单数名词或其修饰词前，在以元音开头的名词或其修饰词前用an；在以辅音开头的名词或其修饰词前用a。这里所说的元音和辅音是指读音，而不是元音字母、辅音字母。

a和an的用法区别主要是a用在辅音音素开头的单数可数名词前，而an则用在元音因素开头的单数可数名词前。

a用在辅音音素开头的单数可数名词前，如a pen、a man、a ball；而an则用在元音因素开头的单数可数名词前，如an orange、an elephant。

但是有些单词的首字母虽然是以元音字母开头，但是它的读音确实是以辅音音素开头，这样的单词前面冠词是不可以用an的，而且用a，如a university.一所大学。

虽然“university”是以u开头，但是它的读音却是以辅音音素开头的，所以它的前面要用冠词a。
