too语气较轻，多用于口语，在肯定句中使用，通常位于句末。as well一般不用否定句，通常放在句末，强调时可放在句中。例如：He is young，clever and rich too.他年轻、聪明，还富有。You might as well have a try.你不妨试一试。

as well和too都可表示“也”。两者都可用在肯定句或疑问句的句末。两者通常可以换用。例句：She likes pizza as well=She likes pizza too.她也喜欢披萨。We are going to go on a picnic as well=We are going to go on a picnic too.我们也将去野餐。

as well常用作状语，作“又；也”解，相当于too或also，常位于句末，无须用逗号与句子分开。

as well在口语中也可用于句中，作“也好，也行”或“倒不如”解，用来缓和语气。

as well as常用来连接两个并列的成分，作“也，还”解。它强调的是前一项，后一项只是顺便提及。因此连接并列主语时，谓语动词与前一项一致；而用not only...but also...连接时，谓语动词与后一项一致。

as well as用来表示同级比较，指“一样好”。

too一般放于肯定句末，表示“也”。否定句末的“也”须用either。

too有时可放在句首以便引人注目，达到强调的目的。

在第二次否定时，可用also或too代替以加强主语的语势，但其必须放于否定词前。
